Introduction to Permaculture Design

Sat 16th and 17th October 2010 - 10am-5pm

A two-day introduction to permaculture design
This course will introduce the basics of permaculture design and show how this approach can be applied to promote an environmentally and socially sustainable lifestyle.

Venue and times
Barracks Lane Community Garden in Oxford 
Both days of the course run 10am - 5pm

Course tutor
The course will be led by Philip Pritchard, a local permaculture teacher and designer currently running the full Oxford permaculture design course.

Who is the course for?
The course is open to anyone who is interested in finding out more about permaculture or considering joining a full permaculture design course. No prior knowledge of permaculture is needed.

What will the course cover?
This 2-day course will offer information about the theory and some hands-on experience of the basic tools of permaculture design. Whether your interest is gardening, farming, planning, building homes, community work, economic regeneration, business or green lifestyles, the application of Permaculture principles empowers you to make a positive contribution towards a sustainable future. This course will enable you to apply permaculture principles to your individual circumstance and to help you move towards sustainability.

Fees
£95/£60 (concessions) which includes tuition, venue hire, course materials and basic refreshments. For lunch please bring along a suitable vegetarian dish to share.
